is it possible????

Question

Is it possible for a child to look nothing like the other parent ? What I mean by that is can you have a child that has zero to none features of you but is almost an identical twin to their father or either or like looks exactly like you and nothing of their other parent? Just curious.

My son has a few of my features but what surprised me the most is how fair-featured he is! I'm half Filipino, half white. So as you can imagine, my features are dark. My hair is almost black, my eyes are brown, my skin is tan. My son came out with blue eyes and blonde hair. His hair is starting to darken but it's still dark blonde/light brown. He's 3 now and his eyes are now green. The only features he has of mine are my dimples and my button nose. And we do have a really similar looking smile, our eyes squint the same way.
I just always thought that dark features are dominant. I wasn't expecting to have such a beautiful light baby! Lol

Yes.  I call my sister carbon copy, she's a female version of our dad right down to moles.  If you compare pictures of them as kids it's hard to tell who the photo is of.

My son looks nothing like his father, totally acts like him but he's all me!... my fiancé always jokes and says he's not his blah blah... like sometimes at the dinner table when we're all in our own little conversations he will randomly be like are you sure he's mine?.. he looks nothing like me.. he's the little guy I'm holding

I'd say yes. For example my husband and his younger brother look absolutely nothing alike. One is 6', broad shoulders, dark hair, green eyes, fair skin, and is entirely their father's child look-wise. Where the other is 5'9", string bean build, blonde hair, huge blue eyes, and a darker skin that tans beautifully, and is entirely their mother's child look-wise. Like I kid you not, in a lineup of 5+ men if you had to choose the 2 biological brothers you would not peg these two as legit related.

Yup my daughter only looked like me for a month after birth and didn't look like me again until she was about seven or eight years old I'm fair skin and my husband has a dark complexion she looks exactly like him people didn't even believe I was her mom because the colors are so dramatically different, she has his eyes, nose lips hands,  it's ridiculous,  now I'm seeing my mini me

Yes, totally possible. Genetics are amazing! I have seen twin studies from biracial parents, where one twin is born looking completely 'white', just like parent B and the other twin is completely 'black' like parent A. Anything is possible. The combinations are endless and unpredictable! That's what makes it so exciting and interesting!
