Anyone heard about giving birth at home being popular?

I hear it's a thing now that women choose to give birth at home. Anyone had experience or heard about this?

It's a new thing to go to the hospital. Home births have been happening since the dawn of time. Hospitals/medical institutions now offer birthing centers. I've heard some are quite amazing! The ones in my town are not anything special and still felt way too hospital like for my comfortably. I will be giving birth to my baby girl this February in my home just like my mom did with my sister and I :) 
I am so nervous! But very excited, it will be such transformative experience! As all of pregnancy has been!

I know many who have... After some emergency situations with each of my first two I myself wouldn't feel comfortable doing it

That's my plan! We have a great birthing center here and you are free to choose a home birth! I would rather be comfortable and not have to leave my home so I'm pretty excited :)

My husbands wonderful mother gave birth to nine children. The first pregnancy ended up being triplets! That was the only time she ever went to a hospital. She had all the rest of them at home! She's a stronger woman than I am!

I go to a birthing center with a midwife it is basically like a little cozy house with jetted tubs. I hated the hospital.

It's actually Incredibly rare. Women who do it talk about it a lot but it's very very uncommon. Don't believe me, go look it up ;)

I heard that in the US home births are becoming more popular. I read somewhere that about 40% of births are at home but don't quote me on that because I don't recall the source or if even that's the percentage they gave lol
