We have been ttc for almost 9 months now and had one early miscarriage (5 weeks) at the end of September. To cheer us up, we booked a 7 day all inclusive trip to the Dominican Republic. We didn't really think about Zika at the time of booking, but now, I'm freaking out. We have stopped ttc for the last month or so and I have bought 5 bottles of DEET, essential oils, and Avon bug spray. We have condoms to use while on the trip and when we get back. I spoke to my medical provider and he basically said "well you shouldn't even be going if you are ttc" . I asked about getting tested when we get back and he said no! (Only if we show symptoms)
