Boyfriend barrow money!

So I had 100 bucks I lend it all to my boyfriend who claims I never do anything for him, he promised to pay me back next week when he gets paid, well his work hours got cut short now he was to barrow money from mine or his family members to pay on his car( mind you i told him not to get a car on payments because he's part time and his hours are never promised). He just told me he can't pay me back, I got upset because my money was my Christmas gift..my bf always makes me feel like a bad person when he don't get his way..i feel as if I've been played...am I stupid for being upset?
