metallic?

So, I have this metallic scent in my downstairs and I have no idea what it is. It's just the scent there's no odd discharge or itching or burning or any other symptoms. Does anyone know what this means? I tried looking it up online and it says that it's normal around your period time but it's been nonstop with me for a little while. I shower and clean my bits regularly. But is there anything I can do to fix it? Help?
