Anyone else have this issue???

My SO is an alcoholic but he's in denial. He promises that when the baby comes he will stop drinking automatically. Right now he drinks to forget his stresses. He has agreed to go to counseling that's not related to his drinking. I plan to slip that little bit in if I can. Does anyone else have experience with this? If so what are you doing or what did you do to deal with it?

I'm so sorry. I was with someone along time that had a drinking problem, but wouldn't admit it. It ruined our relationship and each one he has had since. I'm sure in therapy it will come up and hopefully he will address it. Best of luck to you dear. It's not easy, but the right person is worth the fight.

Mine isn't drinking but it's cigarettes I quit a year ago before getting pregnant and I feel he should stop not only for the baby but to help me not go back and it sucks because he will tell me he quit but sneaks which really makes me mad :(

I have the same problem my husband drinks for more than his stresses and when I tell him it's tearing his family apart and he could lose everything he screams at me and says he doesn't ever want to change to deal with it! He spends all our money down to the last dime that's how bad it is
