Implant Birth Control

I have been on birth control pills for a month and a half but I might switch to the Implant in my arm soon. I have had lots of abnormal bleeding recently I assume from the pills and adjusting to them. But I was wondering if I switch to the implant will my body react to it too and will I have to adjust all over again? And will I have the same side affects?
