how is it even possible to be a SAHM???

My baby is 4 months and I am a ftm. My husband currently stays home with her and works 20 hours on The Weeknd while I work 8 to 5 during the week. I am still having extreme depression being at work not being with her. I feel like I have no time with her by the time I get home I'm exhausted from being up all night and working all day. I want to be a SAHM so bad and my hubby is for it if we could afford it. I make more than him so that is why he stays with her. How does everyone do this?!? It feels impossible

It took us about 3 or 4 years but now I'm a sahm. I used to make more than my husband. We basically lived I'm a tiny place, drove old cars, and got rid of any extra expense including smart phones and cable and eating out, we had to tell our families we aren't doing any gifts for the holidays, etc. Meanwhile I worked and he stayed home and focused on making a career change. Then we transitioned to me working part time and then eventually I was able to stop working. We did it because we wanted 3 or 4 kids and by the time we paid for child care for 2 even me with the higher paying job would only make $4 an hour. Since I'm older we needed to have our kids closer in age, so one of us HAD to stay home or basically use our salary to pay a nanny or daycare. It was NOT an easy transition but now that we're settled we're glad we did it.

I'm a stay at home mom. Everyone judges me for it ... That's the hardest part.
My husband makes more than me and while we could afford the child care we would need to both work I really wanted to be home with my child.
We have no tv, one (used) car, one cell phone and we have no debt except our mortgage. We shop sales and we buy most things second hand, especially baby stuff. I am also considering taking in some kids to babysit for some extra money. We plan to have 1-2 more kids and I want to be home for about 8 years, it's challenging but I love it.

I suggest looking up some sahm bloggers ... They always have great tips.
Cut down on expenses and try to live off one income for a while.

I decided to stay home because my husband makes more money and because if I went to work after the baby was born it would only pay for daycare which we both thought was pointless. I still work 2 days a week and plan on starting a part time job from home to help out
