How early can braxton hicks occure?

I am dehydrated, and i know that that can cause braxton hicks. I am 16 weeks today, and can feel my uterus tightening many times a day.

At first i thought it was the twins moving to the top of my uterus, but now I am not so sure anymore.

I really hope that this doesen't affect my cervix...

Update:

Had a few hard contractions today, and got an examinaton by an OBGYN before I went home from the hospital. They are running a couple of tests to be sure it is not an infection.

My cervix was fine, and I have no ovious signs of infection.

Mine started around 18 weeks. Then went away and then stated again around 25 weeks or so. They would come sporadically. Now at 35 weeks they happen more often I'm just used to it by now. My doctor told me Braxton hicks usually don't effect the cervix but if I was to have more than 4 an hour to call. Just keep an eye on them and time them. If you feel any reason for concern, call your doctor ❤️❤️

I think I had this the other night. I am 17 weeks. Felt like a charley horse and my uterus just kept tightening! No pain, just lots of tightening. Finally started loosening after 10 straight minutes. It was terrifying! I hadn't drank but one glass of water that day. :(
