yeast infection

so a few weeks ago i sort of "self diagnosed" myself with a yeast infection only because i had all the symptoms. so i went to the store and bought some pills to take to get rid of it or at least try to. then it went away for a while and i stopped taking the pills. but it also made my period 5 days late which was stressful. then a few weeks later i lost my virginity and i'm starting to see the same symptoms, i know that i don't have any kind of std because i used a condom and it was both our first time. but now i want to take the pill again to get rid of the symptoms but i don't want to be worrying about my period not coming.
