Potty training

I am potty training my 1 year old. Here's how it's going so far:

Day 1: peed on the potty twice, only because I woke him up both times and made him sit on the potty.

Day 2: Had to take a 3-4 hour(total) drive, only peed himself once the entire 6 hours we were gone and then once more as soon as we got home. Didn't use the potty after getting home.

Day 3: (Today) peed on the potty once(? maybe twice) pooped on the potty once, but will now go sit on the potty on his own, but most likely won't pee or poo in it...
