Sore slightly red nipples....

Hello ladies, I'm on birth control and it's been over a week ago that I had my period (they are always so light bc of my bc pill) but for the last 3 days my nipples have oddly been a little sore and today they seem a little on the red side. My fertility peak is 7.5 today even though I don't ever pay attention to that bc I am on the pill and not trying at the moment, but could my sore nipples be due to ovulation? I may have taken a couple pills hours late as I do sometimes when I forget, but this hasn't ever really happened before. Any insight as to why my nipples would be sore to touch? I'm sure it's probably nothing but just would like some insight bc this hasn't happened before from what I can remember. Thanks you guys!
