How do i get baby off the pacifier?

When and how did you start taking your babies pacifiers away? Im tired of having to wake up in the night just cuz her pacifier fell out of her mouth.. so how can i get her to start sleeping w/ out a paci??

I worked at a daycare for 2.5 years and a lot of the parents there would snip the nipple off of it! They still let them carry it around but it lost its appeal after they realized they couldn't suck on it 😂 there's an adjustment period of course but you just have to stick it out and eventually they'll be just fine!

I don't have any advice to wean her off the pacifier. But have you tried to teach her to put it back in herself? I used to only sleep with a total of 3 pacifiers. I had one by each hand and one in my mouth, when I used to wake I would replace the pacifier with one of the other ones and go back to sleep. My mom said I started doing it at around 4 months. Depending on how old your little one is, it might be another option.

Poke a hole in the nipple with needle this will take all desire out of it and baby won't want it anymore

I never had the issue personally. But if the baby is young enough, just take it away completely. They can only cry for it so long. And younger babies have short attention spans.

When it came to our son we started slowly cutting back on when he had it. First it was only when he was sleeping (car, nap time, bed time) then just nap and bed , then just bed, then cut it out all together.

I'm clueless on this as I am pregnant with my first, but someone told me to poke a couple little holes in it. I guess they will naturally lose interest. Of course be careful not to create any dangerous spots where pieces could come off.
