Protection after miscarriage?

My doc advised me to wait a cycle after my recent miscarriage. I had a D &E 2 weeks ago this Wed and she said no sex for 2 weeks. Should we use protection or take the chance of getting pregnant? I want to be smart but I also want to be pregnant again! Help!

I had a d&c 6 years ago and I waited the 3 months. There was no way I was gonna risk another MC so I made him wear condoms. It was hard waiting but I got pregnant as soon as we tried again and had a perfect and healthy baby girl. She was worth the wait :)

I would definitley take your doctors advice and use protection. Your body has been through a lot and it needs time to heal before you get pregnant again.

My doctor said no intercourse for a whole stinkin' month after my D&C! We did use protection after because she also advised for me to go through 3 normal cycles after the month was over.

They tell you to wait (usual reason anyway) because if you wait for a period, it's easier for then to predict the EDD if you fell pregnant straight away.

Yes, your uterine lining needs to grow back so waiting until you at least get one period is safe. Good luck! I had a m/c in September last year and I'm now 2 months pregnant with my rainbow baby. 💕

I mc in November of last year, didn't wait, got pregnant immediately after, and miscarried that baby too....
