Birth Story
Soo since I finally have the time to sit back and write my story here it goes -- The morning of Friday, January 13th at 5:23 AM to be exact, I started to have "real" labor contractions. While they were bearable they were still quite painful and 7 minutes apart. I had a scheduled 40 week doctors appointment for 12:45 PM that day so I was holding off a trip to the hospital until then. At the appointment, they said I was 1-2 cm dilated with contractions still 7 minutes apart and sent me home to labor further. My boyfriend was not feeling the wait so he took me to a park near home and we walked for about two hours before returning home. Once home, I took a hot shower and that's when things got real. The contractions came stronger, unbearable, and more frequently. At about 8:30 PM we decided to head back to the hospital, and by 9 PM we were admitted as I was 4 cm dilated and contracting 4 minutes apart. I opted for an epidural which I'll never regret. I slept until about 5:30 AM of January 14th, when my water broke and the contractions grew worse. By 6 AM I was 9 cm dilated. However I stayed st 9-9.5 cm until 1:00 PM when I finally start pushing and at 2:40 PM my beautiful little boy was born. 7 lbs 7 oz and 20 inches long. David Keith Jr. has finally arrived at 40 weeks and 3 days ❤
