OPK's and PCOS

Je

4 years ago I was diagnosed with PCOS. I got pregnant naturally at the end of 2015, we weren't really trying so I didn't really track my ovulation... We are TTC this time and I wanted to try bbt and opk's but I've heard opk's don't work well with PCOS as it causes them to be positive even if you aren't ovulating. When I was on Mirena (had it removed 1/16/17) I decided to try an ovulation test. Test was negative and I thought that was a little encouraging (but, of course, I also don't know if the hormones in the Mirena was messing with it because I thought PCOS made it positive no matter what).

I guess what I want to know is do opk's work well with PCOS? Or would it be useless to try opk's?

Thanks in advance.
