Should I be allowed to go to my boyfriends house?

OK so I'm 17 and I turn 18 in June. My dad won't let me go see him ever. And I can't really see him at school because he's graduated already and is trying to get to college. I would like to go see him during weekends and breaks and stuff.  I feel like I'm old enough to decide for myself in what is want.  I don't think my dad should stop me from seeing him but I want others opinions as well.

Growing up is tough, sometimes parents know best, sometimes parents are over protective... I would have to know the entire situation to decide what is happening here

17,18,19,20..... If you don't like house guidelines then move out. Age don't matter when you don't pay the bills and are still living with your parents.

Talk to your dad. Like under what circumstances CAN you see your boyfriend? Maybe if he comes over to your house to hang out while your dad is there to keep an eye on him. Its cool that your dad takes care of you. You have no idea how many girls I knew in highschool whose parents were never there. Yeah they did what they wanted but that wasn't necesarily good. Just follow your dads rules

I'm 19 living with my parents and am not allowed to sleep at my boyfriends place. It isn't because they hate him or anything, it's a respect thing. It's just disrespectful for me to be living under their roof and do something like that. It's also disrespectful of him. Though, that's just my family. I do know some who let their kids do that but there are some families that it's just a respect thing. That's probably why. Honestly, if I went to my parents about something like that, it would just kill them that I would do that.
