Told Him I'm Pregnant and he Threatened to Try for Sole Custody
I am freaking out. I just told my current SO that my pregnancy test was positive and the first thing he said was, "Are you sure you want to keep it? Not even adoption?" And then when I told him absolutely not he proceeded to tell me he'd be better at raising the child. I'm 21 and he's 25 and he has the better job. I told him over my dead body and he just kept saying how I'm not ready. And that he would be the better parent of a child.
So after a minute of freaking out, I had a brash thought and I acted upon it. I told him I lied and that the test was negative and I just wanted to see what he'd say.
He called me f*cking crazy and said he never wants to see me again. And that hurt really bad. But I need to think about my child before myself for now on and I can't risk it living without me.
Has anyone ever been in a similar situation or have any advice? I could really use it.
******UPDATE******
I told him that I lied about the negative test and obviously he didn't believe me. I didn't handle this situation the right way straight from the beginning. Now I'm scared, completely alone, and kicking myself for how that whole conversation.
Also my SO and I broke up right about the time he called me a crazy b*tch.
