testing after meals

As
When were you told to test after meals? I feel like I've been misinformed on when to properly test after a meal and like this dr and the diabetes clinic are trying to scare people into having early inductions or csections. I was told at the diabetes clinic to test one hour after my first bite. I'm thinking that seems odd I grew up around my diabetic grandmother and she never tested like that but this isn't regular diabetes so maybe the rules are different. Talked to my mother and father in law who are both in the medical field and even they say that's wrong. So now I'm just curious to see what others have been told and how upset I should be about all of this because my three hr test levels weren't that bad to begin with. After 12 hrs fasting and drinking liquid sugar of course levels are going to be elevated how could they not be? But they also weren't elevated much over their number. I'm just feeling like my care is not the best. Yes I'm having twins and we should watch closely for issues but not make an issue if there isn't really one there.
