People hate our name..say don't name him that😞

So we are 19 weeks pregnant and just last week we found out we were having our second little boy! 😄💙👶🏽Yay! But we had talked names and were thinking Maverick. Everyone we talk to or mention it to says don't do that to your child. Don't name him Maverick. Is it really a bad name? We really like it. We're just worried if people are so rude now about it what about when he's growing up.
