Why can't you use OKPs with PCOS?

Have heard this a lot but never knew how true it is or what the reasoning behind it is. Any help is welcome! Thanks!

I tried them last time I was ttc and it was positive all the time! So they didn't work for me.

For me, it was so pointless because my cycles are always different lengths and are usually 40+ days... so I had no idea when to even start using them... I've never had a positive OPK. I don't have the time for charting (co-sleeping and still breastfeeding my 22-month-old DS) so I had to learn how to figure out I was ovulating by my ovulation pain and my cervical mucous.

I have PCOS and OPK's work perfect for me. I have monthly ultrasounds that verify what my OPK said. If you're having issues like you always have a positive or never get one, that's when you would worry that they don't work for you. It's all one big experiment anyway. I buy the cheapies on Amazon. That way I have plenty to experiment with. Good luck.

Because it can give false positives. Google it so you can get a better understanding of it.

I think u should do bbt first so u can use opks it will help pin point ovulation better instead of taking shots in the dark bbt help me figure out my ovulation im 3dpo today because apps can only predict and let mw tell u the apps were wayyyy off if it wasnt for bbt i wouldnt even have know that i ovulated
