My LO sleeps through the night. Since she sleeps 10-11 hours at night I am having a hard time getting her to eat 8 times a day, most days it's only 7. The pediatrician said since she is gaining and has wet diapers I can do 5-6 feeds/day. I'm worried about my supply if I drop that low. Any mamas go through this or have advice?

I always just fed in demand and never really even counted the feedings because she gained weight and had plenty of wet diapers.

If you want you can pump on the 8th feeding so you won't lose the supply. You can also build up a stock pile.

I feed on demand, my guess is about 6-8 times per day and 2-3 times during the night. My daughter is 11.5 week.

My baby naturally did the same thing as yours. He used to be at either 7 or 8 feedings a day too, he'd get hungry every 2 hours on the dot but sometimes he'd fall asleep for a few hours and skip over a feeding. Now at almost 5 months he is feeding every 2 and s half hours. I just feed him whenever he's hungry, and my milk supply doesn't seem any lower - your body adjusts naturally to whatever it is that baby demands. That's why feeding on demand works well. 😊
