Selfish or Responsible ?

So this guy I've had a huge crush on since middle school( now 23& he's 24) has been showing a lot of interest lately. I recently made a fb post about a lot of the good men already in relationships. He goes on to comment saying " I'm still single?.. I'm confused" so I return with "you don't want a relationship with me you just like to flirt" which he's a very handsome man so I don't blame him but anyway he says " But I don't want anyone else to have you until I'm ready" lmao ummmmm how do I take that???
