Nexplanon spotting & sex

Hello all!

I got the implant inserted in 12/30/16, it stopped my period completely. I've been spotting ever since. Most times, it's super light, pretty much non-existent. Other days it's heavy....nowhere near as heavy as my regular period but still enough to where it'll prevent me from having sex. So I was wondering if any of you would know how to work around that...

(My bf has PTSD and blood is a trigger for him so asking him to be cool with it is out of the question.)
