will a massage make me miscarry?

I'm 10w and regretting getting one. I didn't tell the lady I was pregnant either. Now worried because apparently first trimester ladies aren't meant to get one. Help please.

Reason for my concern is I went to get a massage at 5 weeks and they refused bc they said I could miscarry. I was so desperate this time that I didn't tell them I was prego.. bad I know. But she only did my back and neck. She did it pretty hard despite me saying to go soft! Yes I was laying on my front which I do every night in bed anyway.

As a massage therapist we are pushed not to do massage before the beginning of the 2nd trimester. Because of the risk of miscarriages. We also insist on a drs note stating its a safe and normal pregnancy.  Towards the end of the pregnancy we are also careful because massage can actually cause you to go into labor.

Unless she did some kind of seriously intense abdominal massage (and who would find that comfortable anyway?), you should be just fine

I got a prenatal massage at 10 weeks exactly. She knew I was pregnant and the only difference was I laid on my side instead of my stomach. 
Baby was just fine

At 10 weeks I can't see why a massage would make you miscarry, unless it was a pretty intense stomach massage? Even laying on the table on your stomach wouldn't be dangerous that early. Your baby is very small still and safe inside your uterus. If you can still sleep on your tummy, getting a massage on it won't hurt either (:

Most massage places I've been to don't do prenatal massage and will have you sign a waiver if you choose to get one and are pregnant for liability to cover if you do miscarry, I would speak to your obgyn first or the massage therapist you plan on going to first before you get it
