Two false positives?

My husband and I have been TTC for two years. We've had two miscarriages.  Last night I took two HPTs and they are both positive. What is the likelihood that I got two false positives? I read that if you drink did before a hpt it can give you a false positive. I did that so I'm worried. If I do another hpt, should it be the same brand or a different one? Any advice you can give would be so appreciated!

Drinking can't cause a false poritive, because those tests measure hcg and nothing causes that hormone except an embryo! Girl, you're pregnant.

And honestly the vast majority of "false" positives aren't even false, it's just very common for a baby to start to implant and then peter out even before the missed period. So the test still picked up legitimate hcg, but the pregnancy didn't continue.

I got 2 false positives on those exact tests. It's pretty unlikely but my dr said that batch might have been bad. Try a different test. I hope it's not the same for you!

I read that false positives are pretty rare. So id say they are accurate. It's more likely to get a false negative than a false positive
