No epidural??

Question

I need input please! With my second daughter my epidural didn't kick in until I started pushing... I felt all contractions... I'm 26w2d with my 3rd... a boy 😍... and I'm wondering if any moms have had their babies with no epidural? I'm need to know if contractions are worse than the actual birth?! Thank you!

I went natural for both my pregnancies and it was my choice . I feel like the contractions are far worse than the actual pushing ! Once they were coming out I felt relief !!

I am pregnant with my 8th an the last 4 I didn't have a epidural an this one I'm not going to get it.

I think it depends how long your labour is. My labour was only 3 hours and I found the birth worse than contractions. Don't be too hard on yourself if you have an epidural anyone who can do labour for longer than 4 hours I take my hat off on them what amazing women pain relief or not xxx

My first three I had an epidural but the first one I only had for pushing, but was induced and the contractions were horrible. I loooooved my epidurals. My last baby I didn't even have the chance to get an epidural because my entire labor was only 45 minutes lol I was pushing not even 15 minutes after getting to the hospital. It was intense, I seriously doubted being able to give birth. The pushing was actually way less painful, it blocked out the pain of the contractions. If I were to have another one (I won't be) I would probably go natural again since my labor was so damn quick. But if it were any longer than that, I would be having an epidural for sure. But that's just me, I liked not being in pain, and was able to enjoy the moment of my babies being born. With this one, my body shut down and I passed out the second she was born, so I didn't have that overwhelming joyful feeling like my other three. I feel like if you don't have to be in pain, there's no reason to be. But that's just a personal preference

But honestly I had back labor so that was much worse than regular contractions.

Same thing happened with me!  I had a really quick active stage of labor.  I asked for an epidural when they checked me and I was only 5-6cm.  30 minutes later As soon as the epidural was placed, before the effects had kicked in, I felt immense pressure in my butt and hips.  They checked me as I was complete! 45 minutes later he was born.  The epidural didn't kick in until halfway through pushing.  I kind of second guess myself if I could have made it all the way through without an epidural since I was so close but at least it made the repair completely pain free!
