concerned doc ?

I went to the gyno not long ago to get checked. And She asked what type of bc I was using and I had just gotten off the pill so of course I said either non or condoms and while she was checking me. She make a comment sort of concerned sounding and said "you said you aren't on bc right?" As if something was wrong with me. I'm clean of everything but should I maybe take a pregnancy test? I know bc is supposed to make your body think you are? Could that be it?
