Multiple Generation Family Names
I am 17 weeks tomorrow and pregnant with twins. My husband has a family name, and he is the 3rd generation to have that name. He wants to continue his family's tradition, which means if one of our twins is a boy, he would be the 4th. How do people feel about naming children after their fathers for that many generations? The only thing I'm uncomfortable with is that my husband has been nicknamed "3" by the family, and I'm not a fan of family members referring to a baby as "4"... Plus, with twins, what if there are two boys? I really don't want to bring this up with my husband until we know for sure genders, but what is everyone else's view on this?
