I mention mine often not because I'm not over them just a story gets brought up or I wanna tell my SO Something about them, so depends on how they are talking ABout them

Depends on how they're mentioned. I talked about my ex regularly at the beginning of my new relationship but it was because 
-it was a six year relationship that had ended a month before. I wanted the new guy to know I was maybe not in the best state for a new relationship (he was gloriously pressure free)
-as things progressed with new guy I realized that some of the knee-jerk reactions I was having were based on expectations that he'd behave like my ex. I wanted new guy to understand where I was coming from. 
-new guy was so amazing that I kept mentioning how amazing he was compared to ex.

I talk about 2 of my ex's to my SO fairly often because he asks. He never met the first ex who was abusive so he asks to learn what might trigger a panic attack so he can avoid saying/doing those things and the second ex we both bitch about since hes chosen to not see his son.

He talks about some of his ex's often, usually if something I say or do reminds him of something similar they did or about their families.

Neither of us mind talking about our pasts and it doesn't bother us hearing about it, we're open about everything.
