Newborn Gum Cleaning?

Question

Do you clean your LO's gums after each feeding? I read that you're supposed to clean their gums with a finger brush after each feeding even before they start teething to prevent tooth decay. FTM here, just trying to see what everyone else's opinions are. Thanks!

As a dental assistant, babies can't get tooth decay with out teeth being present. You can absolutely rubs their gums with a wash cloth to remove milk and baby will enjoy it since it will feel good on their gum ridge especially if they are close to teething but they can't get decay unless the teeth erupt.

Please do it will help to clean residue milk that remain in baby mouth especially tongue. My son got thrust because im not cleaning his mouth. So hard to get rid off. He still suffer from it. He refuses to take bottle cause it bother him.  YES YOU DO NEED TO CLEAN BABY MOUTH.
