So on Jan 10, I went to the high risk OB and had an ultrasound done due to elevated downs risk. Luckily, my baby does not have any markers or signs of downs. Unfortunately though, the high risk OB said my placenta may not be healthy enough to sustain his growth later on in the pregnancy. He is growing fine and on track as of now, but said that his growth may drop off toward the end. So today, I had my monthly appointment with my regular OB. She put me out of work and diagnosed me with Placental insufficiency. Not sure what to really expect and what to be prepared for. She just said that really, my blood flow isn't strong enough, and he's basically taking majority of my blood flow, so she is worried about me being on my feet all day. Any advice or experience with placental insufficiency?
