Why would he say he's afraid to lose me, when he's not doing anything to keep me?

Cuz he's hoping just saying he's afraid to lose you will be all the effort he needs. Or he doesn't know what keeping you will require

Cause some guys aren't very smart when it comes to that stuff. My ex boyfriend said he never wanted to lose me but then him and his friends would treat me like crap all the time. Actions speak louder than words most of the time. But I'd ask him that same question.
