pregnant !!?

Question

Gave birth to my child nov. 2nd I stopped bleeding dec. 10th for about a month me and my SO had been having unprotected sex .  Haven't bled or anything since dec. is this normal ? I know I'm really fertile during this time . But when did you ladies have your first period after birth !?

**UPDATE*** took  a 88 cent pregnancy test from Walmart & it came out negative

Honestly babe, maybe it's just me that wasn't fertile like everyone claims you are after birth because i've been having unprotected sex since 2 weeks pp and i'm not pregnant. I haven't been worried about it and i have taken tests frequently to make sure. I didn't get my first period till this month and i gave birth it October. Take a test if you're really worried

Breastfeeding can cause some women to not have periods/ have erratic periods until the stop/ slow down
But if you dont want to get pregnant right away you should start using some form of birth control

Your hormones are still stabilizing so your ovulation and periods would be all over the place especially if you are breastfeeding.

If you don't want to get pregnant though, you should use birth control. You'll ovulate before your first period and not know it and if timing is right, you can get pregnant.

I personally had my 1st period at 5 weeks pp but then it stopped for 8 months. I was breastfeeding so it came back after my son started nursing less.

You're super fertile after giving birth which is one of the many reasons your dr probably said no sex. However any unprotected sex will lead to a pregnancy as you know so I'd go get a test!
