too hungry?

Question

So my 10 days old baby girl literally won't stop wanting to eat. She just nursed for 50 minutes, got a diaper changed and then starting throwing a tantrum about 20 minutes later to be fed again. It's not like she's just laying there with my nipple in her mouth. She is full on feeding again.

Should I be concerned there might be something wrong or is this normal?

Update: she fed 4 times prior to the 50 min feed, and now took 1oz of breast milk in a bottle because my nipples can't even right now. Even still, she won't knock out! 😳

It's just cluster feeding. She is increasing your supply. It sucks but it will pass, then come again, then pass, etc.

She could be cluster feeding, going through a growth spurt, or her tummy hurts from being full. My son feed constantly some days when he was little (5months old now) and sometimes he would get a tummy ache from feeding to much.

Remember that, "this too shall pass."

I agree, cluster feeding. Keep putting baby on breast, helps your body increase its supply. Try not to offer a bottle. Coconut oil for your nipples to help
