My little love was born early due to a ruptured sack and a slow amneotic fluid leak. She was almost 3 weeks early this Monday afternoon at 3:33. Now that we are finally home she won't latch because my nipples are so flat and I am so engorged. I started pumping to be able to give her my milk but I can pump over 10oz now and still feel hard and engorged near my armpits and the top of my breasts. It's so painful I want to cry when pressing on the rocks in my boobs. I put warm towels on before I pump and my boobs start leaking on their own and then once I'm done I put cold compresses on them. I am also wearing a sports bra to keep them tied down a little bit. So far this is working a little bit over the last two days but I am still seriously engorged even with pumping every hour and a half. My fridge is already full of milk what should I do to help with the pain?? Any advice on how to get her latched on? Maybe this will help balance my milk out.
