I gave him a choice

So lately my baby daddy who also is the guy I was with since 2015 , he's been doing good with this whole thing. I let him go have fun and go out and stuff , he comes back and calls me a whore, and he doesn't trust me and says he wants a DNA test which I can get cause I know its his. I gave him a choice when I prove to him that he's the daddy, he either will try and be a family and trust me and love his kid or pay child support every month. Or sign his rights away. I can't have him in and out of mine and his kids life. Was that too harsh?
