Acupressure really is controversial?

I believe in acupressure. Last night I saw online a bunch of comments from people below an article on pressure points. Everyone was saying it was sketchy or unproven. A couple even called it witchcraft! It was pretty intense considering it was just acupressure to relieve nasal congestion. I tried the points and had instant relief. 
I'm curious, what are your views on acupressure?

I used to get very bad migraine headaches! I could always feel it starting because I would have a horrible pain behind my left eye. Now, whenever I feel one coming, I press right into the upper corner where my eye meets my nose for a couple minutes. The pressure relieves the pain and I don't get a migraine. So I am a believer

I use it for headaches. & to bring on labor/during labor. Great stuff! Definitely not witch craft haha

Lol, my mom told my uncle a pressure point once when he got a cramp, and I'm pretty sure he thought it was dumb, but he tried it and nearly fell over when it actually worked...

Really? I don't think it does a whole lot personally, but I wouldn't call it witchcraft!!! Wow. That seems extreme... Lol. Same with acupuncture, I don't believe putting a bunch of needles in my body will help anything.

I'm not sure how applying and releasing pressure strategically on specific points of your body to feel better could possibly be controversial. I don't know much about it, though.

What's your nasal congestion trick?

I use it myself pressing on my hand for headaches.
This "hocus pocus" works for me! Feet too. All those pressure points!
