how do I get my boyfriend to do cute things without being told ?

So my boyfriend is such a charmer and very romantic for Christmas and Valentine's and my birthday he always gets the best gifts. But I kinda miss getting random flowers and random cards just because things. I was out at Walmart one night and I picked up some tee's for him because I had remembered he needed some and I also picked up a thinking of you card he loved it! How do I subliminally tell him I want those unexpected things without him doing it because I said something?

Ahh the honeymoon period. It's so wonderful with the butterflies and the I can't wait to see you feelings. And then it's over. All the sweet things he did to win you over in the first place stops and it's totally normal behaviour. 
Talk to him if you want it to keep going but keep in mind that once you buy a house and have the two car payments and then a baby on the way you aren't going to need the cutesy stuff. You will just be happy he remembered to pick up the diapers.

Guys are not mind readers let alone do they pick up on hints very well.  Your going to just have to tell him. Just say you miss the surprises he used to do for you. Its a great way to get back some romance in the relationship but he wont know unless you tell him and you may end up letting yourself down trying to hint at it if he doesnt pick up on the hints.  Upfront is the way to go about it

You should be super proud that he is putting in such an effort for the special occasions. But asking him to do moor wouldn't go great.

Why don't you suggest a date night once a month and for the first one you do something lovely for him and the next he does something lovely for you.

Ive told my bf at the beginning of our relationship that ive never gotten flowers before from someone im dating(my dad always gets me a rose for Valentines Day) and he said he could do that for mw no problem..well a year and a half later and he still never gotten me flowers lol but in his defense he does surprise me with random things like a dvd or poster or a book that he thinks i would like that he sees at the store.
