wedding help , rsvp guest

Hi im making save the dates currently and was thinking of away for guest to rsvp i never planned a wedding and nobody in my family has really gotten married that ik of besides my grandparents so i was just wondering if it be ok to make a private event on fb so people can confirm after receiving invites or would that be inappropriate?
