when to install car seat

I'll be 34 weeks 2mrow & I was wondering when everyone was installing their car seats?

I'll be 36 weeks Friday and I still haven't installed my car seat they say it's not good to do it to early because if you get in an accident the car seat won't be any good anymore . So it's pointless to waste your money ..

I'm 32 weeks and I installed my baby seat last week! Will slowly start packing mine and bubs hospital bag now!!
The sooner the better, less things for you to worry about!!

Install just the base. If you install the car seat and get into an accident then you'll have to buy another one

I have mine installed already, but we don't drive that car much as the SUV is mine and I just relax now! 😂 (34 weeks). I hear though that a lot of people install the base around 36-38 weeks then just keep the car seat inside until you go into labor

We just got our carseat and stroller for my shower last weekend. We will wait a couple of weeks and put the base in, I'm 35 weeks, but won't put the carseat in until my husband comes to pick us up. Ours was quite expensive and do not want to risk getting into an accident with it and then needing to throw it away and buy a new one.

If you get into an accident the seat is no good. I'll be doing it just before we leave for the hospital x

We have a scheduled csection hubby will install the base the night before or when they release me with baby because as other lady's have stated if you get in an accident even a fender bender you'll have to replace the car seat and base

I'm planning on installing mine when I go into labor usually they let you stay in the hospital for a day or two but c section 3 days I believe
