leaking amniotic fluid (equivocal test results)

I'm 36+4 today. Yesterday morning I felt intense pressure and as I bent down to get clothes out of my dresser I began leaking fluid that continued to leak and run down my leg onto the floor. I went to L&D and the ferning and nitrazine tests were "equivocal". They had me walk around for an hour wearing a pad. They then repeated the tests and even took a sample from the moisture on the pad and all of the tests came back the same... so they couldn't say yes or no with confidence, other than the fact there was no trace of urine. They said they could see indicators under the microscope of fluid but still "iffy"... They did an ultrasound to measure my fluid levels and since my levels were around 7-8, they decided to send me home and recheck my levels tomorrow. The doctor said it's possible baby is acting as a "plug". Today, I have had a lot of wetness where my underwear are extremely damp and wet. I haven't had any gushing of fluids but I know my body and this isn't urine or discharge. The fluid is clear and very watery. Just curious if anyone has advice or has had a similar situation... TIA.
