entitled millennials
Anyone else ever feel like you're always getting the short end of the stick because you're living in this generation? The way people treat you. The way people view you. The way the economy is, the way education is. I can't tell you how many times I've heard from an older person, "I worked for my own car! I worked to get myself through college!" That's great. But two seconds of googling could tell you things aren't that easy anymore. I keep hearing the term "entitled millennials." I've deleted at least 5 people on my Facebook for using this term when referring to TEENAGERS getting wrongfully shot by the police. The other day I needed to go to the DMV...the lady working the counter seemed so sweet to the older couple ahead of us. The second we got up there, she was a different person. So rude. And I'm that person who is always holding doors, saying "how are you today", thanking cashiers and food service workers, tipping large. But I'm viewed as a selfish, entitled millennial. I pay my bills. I work full time. I have my own place. I'm married for crying out loud. We do it all on our own...this generation has to bend over backwards to get HALF of what our parents/grandparents got.
