Did you get a blood test to confirm?

My doctor isn't having me come in at all until 6 weeks. Just seemed a little off with so many people talking HCG and beta numbers!

This is my second pregnancy and I've never been seen prior to 6 weeks (this pregnancy I'll be 6.5 to see the nurse and 7.5 to see my OB) and my first I was 10 weeks! 
Some women get blood tests who are undergoing medical/fertility treatment or have a history that makes it more necessary. 
It also depends on the doctor and their protocols. 
Try not to worry, but yes it's frustrating waiting!

I had a mc past October (the irony now I'm expecting to next October...). 😊
Last time my doctor told me I went there to soon (5w). This time I booked the first Dr appointment only for March 6th because hubby will be out of country between Fev 15th and March 4th.
In case I don't feel ok I will go to the doctor sooner to feel reassured ☺

I rang my doc and she told me not to come in until I'm 8-10 weeks along.... along with a HUGE congrats 😊 will be third generation of our family for her!!

I fid had 2 Beta HCG checked already and another one on this friday, first ultrasound will be when im 7w0d along . I have all these things bc i have to go through IUIs to get pregnant, my very first pregnancy ever afer TTC over 3years and 1 years with fertility treatment with IUIs.

Mine had me get a blood test to confirm but didn't tell me any numbers then scheduled my ultrasound at 8 weeks and first appointment at 10. I won't see a doctor until then

My first appointment isn't scheduled until March 9th but because of my age and I was spotting they had me come in for blood work so I would know one way or the other. Everything turned out good and I stopped spotting after a couple days.

I have my blood test today. My doctor only gives blood tests if you have a history of miscarriage. I am so anxious for the results!  🤞🏻

My doctor told me it wasn't really necessary unless I wanted the blood test done to confirm but besides that they said coming in anywhere from 6-8 weeks is fine:)

The only reason I had a blood test is because I was already under the care of a RE for annovulation. I will always have my first ultrasound with them at 6 weeks but my friend who sees the same OB as me didn't get a blood test and her first ultrasound is at 9 weeks. So don't worry about not getting a blood test.
