Can "Ariel" be read as "Ah-ri-el"?

I want to name my baby "ah-ri-el" in case I have a baby girl. But I prefer "Ariel" to "Arielle" because I'm going to choose "Lyla" as her middle name and "Ariel Lyla" match better than "Arielle Lyla" in my opinion. But I'm afraid people will pronounce my baby's name wrong.

You will have someone mispronounce it either way. My sons name is Auron (Or-un) and people would call him Aaron. I think you should spell it like you want and then correct people if they say it wrong.

Yeah, with Little Nermaid as popular as it is, people will always think Air-ree-el.

Maybe you should spell it exactly how you want it pronounced. Ariel is going fine pronounced how it's spelled, which is the way the little mermaid  is said. Two l's may have a better chance if being pronounced closer to how you want it. But idk.

Maybe there's another alternate spelling. I would personally spell it Arielle because I know everyone would pronounce it as Ariel. My friends name is Kalie (Callie) but people always assume it's Kaylee and it makes her so mad!
