When to make an announcement?

When do you think it's right time to announce the pregnancy to your family, close friends and the rest?

I told really really close friends and parents/siblings and I'm 4 weeks. Everybody else will get the news at 8.

Up to you, really. I told close friends and family at around 6 weeks, then miscarried at 9. It was really hard to tell people what happened after that.

I'll be waiting until about 10/11 weeks to tell friends and family this time, but won't be making any public announcements on FB or IG until birth.

It's definitely a personal choice. I told family and close friends as soon as I found out last time and announced publicly at 10 weeks after an ultrasound. I'll probably do the same this time as well.

Myself, its my FTM n 1st pregnancy ever, but don't want to tell anyone until at least 15-20weeks , the rest of my family n husband family i will announce when the baby is born. I don't care abt baby shower, and don't like the idea to have to answer like a 100 questions from the family. Im privacy lady loll...

I couldn't resist telling my sister.  I know she isn't going to tell anyone.  I wanted someone to know. It's this secret that's hard not to tell!

I think we are going to wait until after the first appointment too for the rest of the folks.

After 2 miscarriages where we didn't tell anyone, we've decided to tell our family and closest friends right away. We will tell my step daughter at 7.5 weeks after my first ultrasound, and we will announce publicly at 12 weeks
