Photogrpahy help

I'm not sure if this is the right group for this, but oh well. I'm an amateur photgrapher, I've been doing it now for about 4 years. I never really edit my pictures, but I do want to start. Only problem is I'm conpletely clueless when it comes to editing programs and how to actually do it, so if anyone could suggest good photo editing software and tips on editing it would be greatly appreciated 😊
