So, if the sperm live a few days inside a woman's body, what should be the target date (in relation to evidence of EWCM & opk testing positive) that we have sex?? Whenever I'm feeling frisky? When my CM changes? As soon as I see 2 bold red lines? How long after the surge is detected will the egg wait around for his swimmers to complete their mission? Aaaaaugh!!

There are several ways to track your cycle. CM is a good indicator and so is testing with opks. Typically you'll enter your fertile week around cd 12-14 ish... give or take. I got pregnant by bd'ing at least every other day a few days following the end of my period all the way up past when I got a positive opk that way I wouldn't miss my window. Once you start noticing egg white cm get busy. It's best to have the swimmers waiting for the bus long before the bus arrives. Once you test positive on an opk continue to bd that day and the day following. It's easy to miss a window so as long as your bd'ing before during and after you likely won't miss it.
