celibacy

Ive been with my fiancé 5 years weve had trouble in the past that we got past and looking foward to marriage ive been reading a great book called the wait and was considering being celibate our wedding is 1 year away i was considering we try it for maybe 5 months, in the book it talks about how do you know if you have self control if you've never had to go without it i feel its a test self control and a way to grow closer as said in the book , ik its going to be hard because we're always at it but has anybody tried celibacy before the wedding how did it go? Also i dont need judgement about my choices our my fiancé im happy and want comments to stick to this topic
