Flu shot while pregnant

Mariah Lynn • 23 years old, 1 beautiful baby boy, Fiancé Pregnant with baby #2
I'm currently 6 weeks pregnant and I haven't gotten a flu shot in over 9 years. My nurses and OBGYN are practically pressuring me to get one but I'm healthy and rarely ever sick. They're saying that I'm being irresponsible but if i rarely ever get sick and haven't gotten a flu shot, why would I get one now? Any thoughts?
I feel like them pressing the issue is harassment. If I don't want it, it's my baby and my body.

Thank you for everyone's opinion but I will still be refusing the flu shot. I live in San Diego, California and although people still get the flu here, it's very rare past Feb/March. I'm very healthy with a strong immune system and I've always taken preventive measures to avoid getting sick. So why would I put a dead virus in my body in the first place? My immune system may be lowered during pregnancy but I doubt any harm will come to my baby if I keep saying no. My child will inherit my immune system while pregnant and I'd rather not put a foreign and unnecessary strain in my body. Its not a magical vaccine that will prevent me from getting sick so I think I'll be okay. Thank you for all the responses 💖
